Sony has today announced over on the PlayStation Blog the exciting successor to “HD Ports”: PlayStation Collections.
Just as with the various high definition ports, PlayStation Collections aim to bundle together classic PlayStation 3 specific titles in a single package. It’s more bang, or game, for your buck, and a good starting point for people interested in certain franchises they’re otherwise inexperienced with.
So far three packs have been announced. Here’s a list, including the bundled games.
God of War Saga
- God of War
- God of War II
- God of War III
- God of War: Chains of Olympus
- God of War: Ghosts of Sparta
- Bonus Content
- One month PlayStation Plus trial
inFAMOUS Collection
- inFAMOUS
- inFAMOUS 2
- inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood
- Extra Missions
- New costumes, power ups and weapon styles
Ratchet & Clank Collection
- Ratchet & Clank
- Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando
- Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal
- Online Multiplayer
Most people will know the Ratchet & Clank Collection as Ratchet & Clank Trilogy, of which Michael delightfully reviewed for us. The other two a new though.
Sony wants the new collections to go up for sale in the United States on 28 August for US$29.99. We’ll give the word on a local release as soon as it’s available.
