SEGA has today announced via press release plans for an English localisation of Phantasy Star Online 2.
The long awaited online role playing game set within the Phantasy Star universe formally launched as a free-to-play platform in a few days ago in Japan, after many months of alpha/beta testing. Though currently exclusive to PC, SEGA has expressed desires to bring the game to Sony’s PlayStation Vita, as well as iOS and Android devices.
SEGA’s press release indicates an English localisation for the United States and Europe (assuming us as well) is on target for a 2013 launch. SEGA is yet to confirm if we’ll also be seeing localisation of the Vita version, which too is aiming for 2013.
