Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward 3DS gets PAL localisation

August 11, 2012

Good news for Nintendo 3DS owners. PAL specialist publisher Rising Star Games has confirmed that the 3DS version of Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward will be receiving a PAL localisation.

Virtue’s Last Reward is dubbed as the successor to the acclaimed DS title 999, built by the same staff and penned by the same author. 999 was limited to a Japanese and United States release, but for those of us in PAL land this was not a problem, thanks to the region free capabilities of the Nintendo DS. Unfortunately, as we all know, the Nintendo 3DS is region locked, leaving many 3DS only gamers worried Virtue’s Last Reward would suffer a similar fate, thus leaving them high and dry.

Luckily this wont be the case. Rising Star Games has confirmed a November release for the PAL version of Virtue’s Last Reward, in Europe at the very least, giving Australian and New Zealand gamers a chance to import and play without any problems.

Vita owners need not fret. The game’s North American release in October can be easily imported and run on the region free hardware. Everybody wins!
