Zero Escape coming to PC, PS4 and PS Vita next year

November 1, 2016

Sony has announced Zero Escape: The Nonary Games will be coming to the PS4 and PS Vita in Q2 2017.

The title is a package consisting of Zero Escape: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors (999) and Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward. The former was originally released in the West in 2010 on the Nintendo DS, while the later was released in 2012 on both the 3DS and PS Vita systems.

In particular, 999 has been rebuilt from the ground up, now featuring HD graphics as well as both English and Japanese voice acting.

The Zero Escape games are visual novels where players are challenged to solve puzzles and escape death traps. The series is well known for its thrilling and strong narrative, and at the time were used as a prime example of videogames being a medium for storytelling.

UPDATE: Spike Chunsoft have also separately announced that they will be self-publishing The Nonary Collection on PC in Q1 2017. The steam page can be found here.
