PlayStation has today uploaded a brand new God of War TV commercial showing some stunning CG effects. The trailer features Kratos training his son Atreus as they venture through the Norse lands, and demonstrates some of the enemies you will come across when the game launches next month.

Rocket Chainsaw has been covering God of War since its original announcement at E3 2016. The reboot continues Kratos’ story as he travels through new unfamiliar lands and faces more daunting monsters and gods alike.

From Santa Monica Studio and creative director Cory Barlog comes a new beginning for one of gaming’s most recognizable icons. Living as a man outside the shadow of the gods, Kratos must adapt to unfamiliar lands, unexpected threats, and a second chance at being a father. Together with his son Atreus, the pair will venture into the brutal Norse wilds and fight to fulfill a deeply personal quest.
