E3 2021: Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy announced for 26 October

June 15, 2021

Taking up most of the time in Square-Enix’s E3 presentation was a new game from Eidos-Montreal, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. It was announced to be a third-person narrative action-adventure single-player game for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC, as well as streaming via GeForce NOW on 26 October, 2021.

The game sees players take on the role of Star Lord, who must work with his compatriots Gamora, Groot, Drax and Rocket to save the galaxy. Taking inspiration from both the blockbuster movies and the comic books, the game features player-choice driven dialogue between Star-Lord and the Guardians, along with action gameplay with his Element Blasters (and the ability to call on the unique powers of each Guardian). As with the films, the game also features classic 1980’s tracks to listen to while players zip through the galaxy on the Milano.
