During their E3 conference, Bethesda officially announced that Dishonored 2 is in development.
Dishonored 2 is set 15 years after the original and will star both Corvo Attano and Emily Kaldwin, the latter of which was the orphaned princess in the first game. In the game, Emily’s throne has been siezed by an “otherworldly usurper”, and now the pair must restore Emily’s power. Each character will have their own unique set of abilities, weapons and gadgets. Gameplay will once again offer players the choice of using stealth to complete objectives or leave a trail of chaos in their wake.
Dishonored 2 is scheduled to be released during Easter 2016 on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
Also revealed during the press conference was Dishonored: Definitive Edition. This is a remake of the original Dishonored which features enhanced graphics and all previously released DLC. The game is slated to arrive on Xbox One and PS4 this August.
