Digimon World: Next Order Coming to the West

September 17, 2016

After the massive success of Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, which saw the game sell out in many countries around the world, Bandai Namco have announced that Digimon World: Next Order will be releasing in Australia in early 2017.

The massive success of Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth shows in the announcement that Digimon World: Next Order will sport a full English dub, as well as English, French, Italian, German and Spanish subtitles, pointing to an overall higher budget. The game will be enhanced for Playstation 4, with no Playstation Vita version in the West, and will have both physical and digital releases around the world, compared to the digital only release for Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth in Australia.

Digimon World: Next Order is the first game in the Digimon World series that will allow you to explore the world with 2 Digimon companions at all times, as opposed to the previous single Digimon limitations. For those unfamiliar with the Digimon World series, you can think of it like a big 3D version of your old Digimon tamagotchis, with you spending your time raising, training, digivolving and battling Digimon as you progress through the story.

Digimon World: Next Order will be out in Early 2017 for Playstation 4. Stay tuned for a more concrete date when we have one and check out the trailer and screenshots below in the meantime!
