Breath of the Wild Patch Allegedly Fixes Frame-Rate Issues

April 2, 2017

A patch released by Nintendo this week has apparently fixed a lot of frame-rate issues in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on both the Switch and Wii U consoles.

Official Breath of the Wild Patch v1.1.1 notes simply read:”Adjustments have been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.” Without any actual acknowledgement direct from Nintendo regarding what these adjustments are, fans and critics alike have noticed a definite smoother frame-rate, particularly in areas which contain a lot of plant-life i.e. tall grass.

With no official word from Nintendo on how they’ve gone about creating this patch, some fans are still noticing drops in frame-rate in boss fights and high-combat situations. However with this patch comes hope that maybe one day soon we will see the game become the masterpiece that it deserves to be.
