Assassin’s Creed III details revealed

March 2, 2012

Ubisoft have confirmed the first details of Assassin’s Creed III, which once again brings the series a new time period and protagonist to take on the assassinating duties.

The game will be set in the 18th century during the American Revolutionary War, bringing the historical side of the series’ gameplay to the U.S of A for the first time.

The news was initially leaked by a Best Buy employee, who posted concept art of the new assassin character with an American colonial flag, and suspicions were further raised by a banner Game Informer posted, featuring the protagonist standing with George Washington.

A packshot of the game has also been released, where the new assassin can be seen wielding Native American weapons such as a tomahawk, bow and arrows, as well as guns and a whole lot of leather straps. You can check it out below. Assassin’s Creed III is due for release on 30 October, 2012.
