  • NEWS: Garrett is back! Announced via Game Informer, with information compiled over at NeoGAF, Square-Enix has blown the lid off the next Thief game. Though the fourth and continuing the canon, the new thief will simply be titled Thief. Garrett once again the anti-hero we all know and love, in a game focused almost exclusively on stealth and sneaking. Thief will be launching on PC, PlayStation 4, and “next generation systems” (that means the new Xbox) at some point in 2014.
  • NEWS: Also speaking with Game Informer, Telltale has confirmed that 2013 will mark the launch of a second season for their very well received The Walking Dead game series. Given The Walking Dead: Season 1 was voted by staff and readers as Rocket Chainsaw’s Game of the Year, we’re sure you can’t wait.
  • VIDEO: EA has dated a demo for Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel. Shooter fans can try out the demo, with co-op support, come 12 March, and if they like it pick up the game on 26 March. EA has also provided a new trailer titled “Speak of the Devil”.

  • NEWS: A new Torment is coming! Spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment, inXile Entertainment launched a Kickstarter for what they’re callling Torment: Tides of Numenera. And as soon as the news went live, the game was promptly funded. The fans have spoken.
  • NEWS: nVidia PC gamers grumpy over the off performance of Crystal Dynamics’ excellent Tomb Raider reboot will be pleased to note that both nVidia and Nixxes, who ported the title, have responded to complaints. Nixxes is working on a series of patches to improve stability and squash bugs, the first of which went live today, meanwhile nVidia is working on an updated driver revision to increase performance across the table. nVidia has not given a specific date for the first revision, but has said it will be this month.
  • NEWS: What is Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon? We have no idea. But apparently it is a thing, as noted by the Brazilian Classification Board.
  • VIDEO: A new feature for this month’s God of War: Ascension has been announced. Titled “Trial of the Gods”, it pits co-op players against waves of ever increasingly difficult mythological opponents. You can check out the mode in motion below.

  • NEWS: A press release issued by Sega has dated Relic Entertainment’s Company of Heroes 2. The World War II strategy game will go live for the world on 25 June.
  • VIDEO: Despite our monthly release list stating otherwise, Lost Planet 3 won’t hit Australian and European shores until 28 June. We’ve got a new trailer, too!
