If you’ve been salivating in anticipation for Bioshock Infinite to hit store shelves, you may want to consider wiping the drool from your face for the time being, as news comes of a delay to the game’s release.
2K Games announced this morning that Bioshock Infinite has slipped from an October release this year to 26 February 2013.
According to Ken Levine, “When we announced the release date of Bioshock Infinite in March, we felt pretty good about the timing. Since then, we’ve uncovered opportunities to make Infinite into something even more extraordinary. Therefore, to give our talented team the time they need to deliver the best Infinite possible, we’ve decided to move the game’s release to February.”
Hopefully, we’ll be hearing more about the game come E3 this year, especially with regards to the new ‘more extraordinary’ elements being placed into the game.

This was probably my most anticipated game of 2012, so a bit sad to hear this news. Good to hear them announce it now rather than in a few months time at least. Hopefully it’s the only delay and the game doesn’t get stuck (like Last Guardian & FFXIII Versus).
