Xbox Live’s Major Nelson has revealed August 2019’s Games with Gold freebies.

For Xbox One, Gears of War 4 will be available to download for the entire month while Forza Motorsport 6 will be available from August 16 to September 15. On Xbox 360, Torchlight will be available to download August 1-15 and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow will be available August 16-31.

Gears of War 4 was released in 2016 and takes place 25 years after Gears of War 3. The game’s story focuses on the son of Marcus Fenix and Anya Stroud, James Dominic Fenix (or JD for short), and his squadmates Delmont “Del” Walker and Kait Diaz as they fight a new threat to humanity.

Forza Motorsport 6 was also released in 2016 and features more than 450 cars and 27 tracks to drive on. You will compete in 24-player races across both night and daytime settings, as well as experience different weather effects.

Torchlight is an action RPG from 2011 where players control a lone hero who must navigate randomised dungeons and fight waves of enemies. You can play as a Destroyer class warrior who specialises in melee combat, an Alchemist warrior who is a spell caster, or a Vanquisher who specialises in ranged weaponry and traps.

Following July’s Symphony of the Night, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is a reboot of the Castlevania series. In the game protagonist Gabriel Belmont is on a quest to defeat an order known as the Lords of Shadow and also resurrect his wife. Unlike its predecessors, the game is a third-person action adventure so this will feel a bit different for fans of the series.
