With just a few days until Horizon Zero Dawn gets its first expansion DLC The Frozen Wilds, the development team over at Guerrilla Games  are starting to leak out what to expect as Aloy heads out on a journey to a cold and desolate place.

The Scorcher is a new animal-inspired machine which as explained in the video, has been inspired by several animals such as a cheetah, wolves, and even a horse.

Beyond the northern mountains, the borderlands of the Banuk tribe challenge all who dare enter to survive the extremes. But now this frozen wilderness harbors a new threat, and for Aloy, a new mystery – one she’s determined to solve.

Rocket Chainsaw reviewed Horizon Zero Dawn giving it 4 and a half stars, and saying it “essentially forms the beginnings of Sony’s own exclusive Witcher series, which given that franchise’s quality and the fact it’s on hiatus, is no bad thing at all.”

Along with the Scorcher, we expect to see several other new and exciting beasts to take down in The Frozen Wilds in what is shaping up to be a very good looking addition to the main game.

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds launches on the 7th of November, 2017 exclusively on PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Plus subscribers can take advantage of a 25% discount if they pre-order.
