Following on from the fallout of the Hulk Hogan sex-tape court case that Gawker Media lost earlier this year, it has been announced that the company will be sold at auction next week.

Many people were speculating about what would happen after the $140 million ruling against Gawker was upheld. Especially considering Gawker Media was only worth a total of $83 million at the time of the case

While there is still uncertainty as to how this will effect Kotaku and other websites under the Gawker Media banner, they’re at least one step closer towards an outcome.
