  • With the success of Steam on Linux, it would stand to reason that other digital gaming services would follow. Well, not gog.com, who has ruled out providing Linux support with its service for the foreseeable future. Their reasoning stems from the difficulty in supporting the wide variety of Linux distributions. It’s worth noting that Steam solves this by officially supporting only one popular distribution, Ubuntu.
  • Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army is getting a sequel, Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 2. The original title was a spinoff of Rebellion’s Sniper Elite V2 (they’re all about the imaginative naming at Rebellion, apparently) and, according to creative lead Tim Jones, they “really wanted to heighten the demonic, nightmarish tones of the first game”.
  • In a lengthy interview with Eurogamer, Blizzard has confirmed that offline mode won’t be coming to the PC version of Diablo III anytime soon. The interview, with console leads Josh Mosquiera and Kevin Martens, talks about the problems that the controversial auction house feature introduced to the game, as well as the challenges of bringing the title to console. Expect a full review of Diablo III for console later this week!
