Zone of the Enders HD Collection to come with a special edition of The 2nd Runner

It was all very exciting news for Zone of the Enders fans when they heard that the series would be getting a HD collection, bundling the first and second games in the series. There’s even more reason to be excited now, with the announcement, as covered by Siliconera, that the second game, Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner, will in fact be a special edition of the title.

The announcement comes as producer Hideo Kojima posted a picture of the title screen. So far, it looks like the special edition will include extra cutscenes, difficulty modes and missions.

So far, the special edition of The 2nd Runner is confirmed to be available for North America, so fingers crossed for PAL gamers. And if not, you can always import the NTSC version if you have a PS3.

I like exploring the bizarre side of video games and enjoy a good scare from them too. And despite pretending that I hate video games sometimes, I don't. Really. Connect with me on Google+.

I have never played either of the titles in this series. I am really looking forward to sampling what have clearly come to be regarded as cult classics.

I’m pretty sure we got the special edition when it first was released, I remember having it and stupidly trading it at the pawn shop, only America got the standard edition
