Yooka-Laylee Physical Release Announced

Yooka-Laylee developers Playtonic Games have today confirmed that the game will be receiving a physical release when it comes out in Q1 2017. The original Kickstarter campaign for the Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor only contained digital copies of the game (unless you paid $535), with Playtonic confirming that they are currently working on an upgrade program for backers.

There’s now current confirmation on an exact release date, cost of physical copies at launch or if there are different editions you can buy, but we expect thise details will come out closer to launch.

Along with the physical release news, a brand new trailer was released last week showing off a guest NPC that can be found in the world of Yooka-Laylee. Shovel Knight, another kickstarter success story, will need your assistance and help when you play the game.

Yooka-Laylee releases in Q1 2017 for PC, Playstation 4, WiiU and Xbox One.
