Yes! Yes! Yes! Daniel Bryan Showcase Mode in WWE 2K19

August 15, 2018

2K Games today has revealed that in WWE 2K19 there will be a Daniel Bryan Showcase Mode. This marks the return of the popular Showcase Mode which was absent from last year’s WWE 2K18, replaced by the main Road to Glory story mode.

Having a Daniel Bryan Showcase Mode is somewhat fitting, given Daniel Bryan himself retired from in-ring action in 2016 due to injury, only to return as General Manager for the WWE Smackdown Live show, and then eventually return to competing at WrestleMania 34.

The new Daniel Bryan Showcase Mode will feature twelve iconic matches, including his debut match on WWE Velocity against John Cena, title shots and wins as the Yes! movement grew, his 2016 injury, and then of course his return to in-ring action this year.

Why did 2K pick Daniel Bryan?

The 2K Showcase is back in WWE 2K19 due to popular demand. So 2K felt it fitting for Bryan to become the face of this year’s 2K Showcase.

2K cited Bryan’s enduring popularity in the WWE Universe and his long road to WWE stardom as the primary reasons for his story being selected for this year’s 2K Showcase.

This mode allows WWE fans to revisit special moments from Bryan’s career that may not have received their proper due, all the while competing in a unique gameplay experience that adds a new dimension of fun to the virtual WWE Universe.

Last Year’s WWE 2K18 launched in October last year on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC, Rocket Chainsaw reviewed it giving it three stars and saying, “While it is indeed the most expansive WWE 2K game to date, and there are many memorable moments to be had, it’s stops miles short of being as good as it should be.

Don’t forget, pre-ordering WWE 2K19 will not only give you Ronda Rousey, but it will also give you Rey Mysterio, as well as early access and in-game bonuses beginning four days before the game’s launch. The early access will only be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Don’t forget, WWE is heading down under to the Melbourne Cricket Ground in October for the first ever live filmed WWE Super Show-Down featuring HHH vs Untertaker and much more.

WWE 2K19 will launch on October 9 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC platforms. Make sure to check back with Rocket Chainsaw for all the usual roster reveals and hopefully some gameplay footage soon. Head to the official WWE 2K website for more information.
