Xbox To Hold Next-Gen Game Focused Inside Xbox

May 1, 2020

If you, like myself, are incredibly keen for the next generation of console hardware, than you’ve no doubt been hanging out for literally any next-gen crumb or morsel that falls your way. We’ve had PlayStation 5 controllers revealed, we’ve got the specs of both machines, but as far as games go, we haven’t really seen too much yet. We’ve had small first looks at games like Godfall, Hellblade: Senua’s Saga, Halo Infinite and just this morning Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the last two of which are cross generation titles, but beyond that, news on games has been sparse.

With E3 2020 cancelled, the most likely timeframe for a massive showstopping reveal of next generation games was up in the air, but Xbox have confirmed overnight that they will be holding a next-gen game focused episode of Inside Xbox next week. We have no idea what will be shown, but they’ve specifically used the wording ‘First Look next-gen gameplay from our global development partners’ which leads me to believe this showcase will be third party focused and potentially not contain many, or any, first party titles. Don’t be surprised if we see gameplay for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla there or a reveal of the next Battlefield title.

If you want to get in on the next-gen gameplay reveal action live, you’ll need to tune in at 1AM AEST on May 8th, otherwise stay tuned to coverage of the event from Rocket Chainsaw.
