Xbox Live Games with Gold June 2016 announced

Xbox Live’s Major Nelson has revealed the Games with Gold freebies for June 2016.

On Xbox One, players will be able to download Goat Simulator and The Crew. Goat Simulator puts players in the hooves of a goat and lets them wreck havoc in a sandbox world. What makes the game particularly entertaining is the broken physics engine – there’s something memorising about watching a goat being launched into the air as it rotates its head like something out of The Exorcist. Definitely worth a look if you have a quirky sense of humor.

The Crew is an open world online racing game from Ubisoft. The game features a scaled down version of the United States, offering the opportunity to drive through New York, Las Vegas, Seattle and many other cities and states. Players can also form “crews” with friends to race each other online or against ghost data.

For the Xbox 360 platform, the popular Super Meat Boy and XCOM: Enemy Unknown take centre stage. Super Meat Boy is an old school platformer which focuses on split-second timing to avoid hazards. It’s notorious for being a difficult game to master, but that certainly will not spoil the fun across the game’s 300 levels.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown is a turned based strategy game that pits mankind against alien invaders. There are different alien classes which have unique strengths and weakness, so it’s important to keep a balanced team before tackling levels. XCOM also features a base management system which lets you customise your home base and research new skills and equipment.
