With New Year’s on fast approach, Xbox Live’s Major Nelson has revealed the first Games with Gold line up for next year.

On Xbox One, gamers can download World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap, a tower defense title set in the world of Van Helsing where players team up with other heroes and defend against monsters. Also available is the popular fighter Killer Instinct Season 2: Ultra Edition.

The Xbox 360 system gets two platformers in the form of the The Cave and Rayman Origins. The Cave features an interesting set piece where players explore a magical talking cave that openly mocks them and reveals the stories of the playable characters. Rayman Origins is your classic fast paced platformer starring everyone’s favourite limbless hero, Rayman. While it’s easily one of the best platformers in recent memory, what makes Rayman Origins particularly great is it’s amazing 2D animations and aesthetic charm.
