Xbox Live Games with Gold April 2016 announced

Major Nelson has announced the Games with Gold freebies for April 2016.

Topping the list on Xbox One is Telltale’s episodic The Wolf Among Us. Set as a prequel to the Fables comic series, the game takes place in the 1980’s where Fables live in a hidden New York community called Fabletown. Bigby, formerly the Big Bad Wolf, is in charge of protecting Fabletown and hiding its existence from the human world. During the events of The Wolf Among Us, Bigby must investigate a series of murders and uncover a major conspiracy within Fabletown.

Also available is the Xbox One exclusive Sunset Overdrive. Developed by Insomniac Games, the game takes place in Sunset City where a majority of the population has turned into zombies after ingesting a new energy drink called Overcharged. Players navigate the city by grinding on rails and will unlock a variety of weapons to take on the zombie hordes.

On the Xbox 360 front we have the likes of Dead Space and Saints Row IV. Dead Space is a survival horror game that is almost guaranteed to have you wetting yourself in fear. Assuming the role of Issac Clarke, players must survive an alien infestation on board the mining colony ship the USG Ishimura and discover what happened to the ship’s crew. During the events of Saints Row IV, Earth is destroyed by an alien race and The Boss is transported to a virtual world where they have super powers. In typical Saints Row fashion, the game is full of humor, a giant open-world to explore, and plenty of crazy antics.
