It’s official – you’re old. The Xbox brand is celebrating 20 years since the launch of the OG Xbox, which first came out in North America all the way back on November 15th 2001, even though us Aussies had to wait until 2002. Xbox has reported that they have celebrations planned throughout the year as they get closer to the original launch date, which will be posted on their official 20 Years website, but to kick things off they’re starting with:

• A curated store list of games which were influential in the last 20 years of Xbox history.
• A first wave of Xbox 20th Anniversary gear on their official Gear Shop.
• New 20 Year-themed wallpapers.
• New 20-Year Gamerpic and profile themes available on Xbox consoles, in the Customize Profile or Personalization menu.

Xbox are also encouraging fans to use the hashtag #Xbox20 to reminisce about the last 20 years of Xbox gaming, and to register for Xbox FanFest for special 20th anniversary activities, including sweepstakes, FanFest gear and digital experiences.
