WWE 2K22 Announced With Teaser Trailer At Wrestlemania

April 11, 2021

In a move that might not shock anyone, 2k Games and the WWE have announced WWE 2K22 at this year’s Wrestlemania. We’ve been eagerly awaiting the announcement of a new game in the franchise, after it took a year off in 2020 following an extremely lacklustre display in 2019 with WWE 2K20Now we’ve had our first glimpse at what that year off has meant, with this WWE 2K22 teaser trailer.

While the trailer honestly doesn’t show a whole lot, clocking in at just over 30 seconds, it does give us a slight indication of what to expect. The first thing we noticed was that the wrestler models look to have been significantly improved, something we’d expect from a game likely releasing on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, but with only a couple of modes shown there’s not much of a sample size. We also know that Rey Mysterio and Cesaro will feature in the game, although that shouldn’t be a surprise given they’re both relatively higher profile wrestlers. Rey Mysterio especially so.

Beyond that short glimpse, nothing else is known about WWE 2K22 yet beyond the fact that we should likely have more news on the game in the near future. Keep an eye on Rocket Chainsaw for more news as it becomes available.
