Free WoW Classic Character Moves Announced

Have you been busy leveling, or have you spent more time in queues than playing your WoW Classic character? Today Blizzard has revealed that they are looking to ease server populations even further than last week, this time by allowing free WoW Classic character moves from full servers to low population servers.

There’s only one Oceanic server that fits this criteria and that’s PVP server Arugal. Players wishing to transfer their WoW Classic character from Arugal can move it to the very low population server Felstriker. The only other PVP Oceanic server is Yojamba which also gets quite busy in peak times, so transfers to that server is simply not an option Blizzard was willing to go for.

The announcement was backed up by a post on the official WoW Classic forums by Community Manager Kaivax, where they explain that several server across US and EU regions will also have free WoW Classic character moves to low population as well as brand new servers. Players will not be able to create new characters on the new servers for the first day or so, to allow for the free character transfers to occur as smoothly as possible. Will you be transferring your character off Arugal, or one of the other full servers in other regions, or are you going to stick it out to see how many other people transfer and see if the queues are reduced or removed entirely?

WoW Classic launched at 8AM on the 27th of August. For more information head to the official WoW Classic website.
