Watch Dogs: Legion DLC Content Announced

October 7, 2020

After a number of delays that pushed the game from a 2019 release to October this year, the release Watch Dogs: Legion is finally just around the corner. What that means, of course, is that more and more information about the game is being confirmed and announced. We’ve had a couple of trailers showing off a bunch of locations and the character classes you can recruit in the game, and another one that gave us more details on the mechanics of the game. Now, Ubisoft have announced some of the Watch Dogs: Legion DLC you will receive after launch and given us a new story trailer as well.

The new story trailer gives us some more context around your motivations in Watch Dogs: Legion. Dedsec, the hacker collective from the previous games, has been framed for bombings that have contributed to the downfall of London by a shadowy entity known as Zero Day. It’s up to you to now build a new resistance and free London from the security state it has become.

On top of the story trailer, Ubisoft confirmed a number of additional modes and characters coming to Watch Dogs: Legion as post launch DLC. On December 3 Watch Dogs: Legion will receive a free DLC update introducing online functionality to the game. This will come in the form of co-op freeroam modes, where you can also complete side missions with friends, new co-op missions and harder co-op tactical missions as well. There will also be an online PVP mode titled Spiderbot Arena, where four to eight players will take control of Spiderbots and fight to the death. There will also be more free DLC updates coming in 2021 which will introduce more missions, characters with new abilities and a New Game Plus mode.

On paid Watch Dogs: Legion DLC, Ubisoft confirmed two more characters that Season Pass owners will gain access to. On top of the already announced Aiden Pearce and Wrench from Watch Dogs and Watch Dogs 2 respectively, you’ll also get access to Darcy, a member of the Assassin’s order (a cross-over with Assassin’s Creed) and Mina, a subject of transhuman experiments who can mind control enemies.

Watch Dogs: Legion releases on October 20th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, November 10th on Xbox Series X|S and will release digitally on PS5 on November 12th, with a physical release coming on November 24th.
