Uppercut Games’ City of Brass Announced

Uppercut Games today officially unveiled the latest project they have been working on: City of Brass. The developer responsible for the very popular Submerged game which launched almost two years ago has been busy creating another masterpiece, this time being a first person action adventure game where a strange genie brings a literal City of Brass up out of the sands, which just so happened to be… submerged.

The game is currently scheduled to launch later this year on Steam, as well as Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Check out the official City of Brass Steam reveal trailer below:

As we can tell from this reveal trailer, it appears to be very similar to the Serious Sam franchise, with enemies coming at you before you even really know what’s going on. If you were thinking that’s just how the game begins, here’s another trailer showing non-stop action in City of Brass:

For a full list of City of Brass features, check out the handy information with attached GIFs below:

Collect treasure to increase your score, loot chests for weapon and armor upgrades or powerful relics, pick up objects to hurl at enemies – but get to the exit in time or face death by dervish…

The rhythmic interplay of blade and lash has been carefully tuned along with sprinting, crouching, sliding, leaping and vaulting to give a fluid, balanced and natural feel to the movement and melee.

Incarcerated within the city, most Genies are friendly. Barter your loot for gear, upgrades, secrets, unlocks or protections, or use one of three wishes to unlock a powerful benefit.

For the ultimate test, experienced players can encumber themselves with Divine Burdens, global modifiers that change enemy abilities, spawn behaviors or multiply environmental hazards.

When your sword just isn’t enough, get creative: smash your enemies with explosive vases, blind them with a brick to the face, blow them up, set them on fire, or force them into traps.

No two playthroughs are ever the same: play, die, and play again, each time using what you’ve learned to get further. Are you tenacious enough to reach the heart of the City of Brass?

City of Brass is expected to launch in the 3rd quarter of 2017 for Windows PC Steam, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. To find out more information, head to the official City of Brass website here, or click here to head to its Steam page.
