We’ve been hearing rumours on the grapevine of hidden code and a possible lockbox in Grand Theft Auto V that contains a Red Dead Redemption 2 weapon, and now we have confirmation from Rockstar Games that there will be an event to unlock the Double Action Revolver, as well as $250,000 in-game cash for finding clues and completing a Freemode head-shot challenge.
A press release from Rockstar Games announced that players will receive an in-game email with clues of the revolver’s location. The revolver will be able to be used in GTAV and will also unlock in Red Dead Redemption 2 via your Rockstar Social Club account.

It appears Rockstar Games is committed to intertwining the two games, and we are sure there will be future Red Dead Redemption 2 weapons available to unlock in GTAV, as well as perhaps clothing, or even mounts.
