Uncharted 4 Sells 2.7 million in First Week

Sony have announced that Naughty Dog’s latest Uncharted game, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has exceeded 2.7 million sales in its first week. Considering that it was only recently announced that the Uncharted series had sold over 28 million units prior to Uncharted 4 launching, this means that lifetime sales for the franchise have jumped by almost 10% in under 7 days.

Considering how positive reviews have been about the game, including receiving 4.5/5 stars from our own Adam Ghiggino, it’s easy to see how Uncharted 4 is selling so exceptionally well.

With sales like this, I can’t see Sony ditching the Uncharted franchise even with Naughty Dog having confirmed that this will be their last Uncharted game. Only time will tell if another developer picks up the Uncharted mantle, but somehow I don’t think this is the last time we will see the Uncharted name on a game cover.
