Two Point Hospital delayed for consoles

In what has been a bad week for delay announcements, Two Point Studios has revealed the console release of Two Point Hospital has been pushed back to the first half of 2020.

Announced in July, Two Point Hospital was set to arrive on Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch late this year. On the game’s website Two Point Studios explained they wanted to make the game a quality experience.

So why the delay? Put simply: making a management simulation game on three consoles (and making it the best it possibly can be on all three), is a tricky programming puzzle.

We have to take the game apart and figure out how to fit it into what is essentially a smaller box. That takes a fair amount of time and engineering work, and it turns out we need to take a little more to iron out the remaining creases.

We’ll report back once a final release date has been revealed.
