Trine 4 gets 8 October release date

Developer Frozenbyte has announced the upcoming Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince will be released on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PS4 on 8th October this year.

Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince reunites Amadeus the wizard, Pontius the knight and Zoya the thief as they embark on a quest to find Prince Selius whose dark nightmares have begun to take over reality and cause havoc and chaos on the waking world. The game returns the series to its 2.5D roots, instead of Trine 3’s full 3D worlds. For the first time in the series there will also be local and online co-op for up to four-players.

Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince will release alongside Trine: The Ultimate Collection which bundles Trine Enchanted Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story and Trine 3: The Artefacts of Power with the fourth entry. Physical and digital editions will be made available for both The Ultimate Collection and Trine 4. Physical versions of The Ultimate Collection include download codes for a Trine series original soundtrack compilation, digital art book and a physical Trine 4 world map. Trine 4 physical editions will also include the physical world map

Players who pre-order either title will receive a bonus in-game level starring Toby the dog from Frozenbyte’s Nine Parchments and a physical Trine 4 cloth poster.
