Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 Coming to PS5, Switch and Xbox Series X|S

February 24, 2021

It was only yesterday that we posted about the rumour that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 could be coming to Nintendo Switch. A series a tweets were fired off between Tony Hawk, Activision and Nintendo, which made it clear that the game was coming. It turns out that speculation was a little narrow in scope, because Activision have now confirmed that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 is not just coming to Nintendo Switch, but also to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The announcement came with a few details on what we can expect from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 on PS5 and Xbox Series X, with the game confirmed to have both a native 4k 60fps mode, as well as a 1080p 120fps mode. There are also higher quality atmospheric effects, like sharper dynamic shadows, and skater models will also have more detailed textures. It was also confirmed that the next-gen versions of the game can be gained for free if you owned the digital deluxe edition of the game or via a $15 upgrade if you owned the standard version.

Things are a little more fuzzy with the Nintendo Switch version, with no confirmation on the resolution or framerate we can expect from the game. Instead, it was just highlighted that the game would allow for portable play and that it would come later in 2021.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 will release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on March 26th, with the Switch version releasing later in 2021. For more information, check the official website.
