The WNBA MyPlayer Experience Is Coming To NBA 2K21 For Next-Gen

Much was said about the full inclusion of all twelve WNBA teams in NBA 2K21It was the first time that all twelve clubs had been in an NBA 2K title, but there is always more that can be done to promote equality and equity. While we won’t be getting a full WNBA story mode as yet, 2K Games has announced that the first ever WNBA MyPlayer experience is coming to NBA 2K21 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

At launch, the next version of NBA 2K21 introduces The W, a mode where players can create their own fully customisable WNBA player and take her through a pro career featuring famous players in the league like Breanna Stewart, Napheesa Collier and Diana Taurasi. Alongside the WNBA MyPlayer experience, there’s also a new WNBA franchise mode coming called MyWNBA, where you can build your own fully customised WNBA franchise and league.

Visual Concepts Senior Produced Felicia Steenhouse had this to say about the new addition:

“We’re really proud to continue our great partnership with the WNBA and introduce players to The W. Being able to recognize yourself both on and off the court is incredibly important to us. The W helps us elevate women’s basketball and highlights the starpower of the WNBA.”

WNBA MyPlayer and MyWNBA will be available exclusively in NBA 2K21 for Xbox Series X|S on November 10th and on PlayStation 5 on November 12. For more information, check the official website.
