The Witcher 3 Switch Edition Is Out Now!

October 16, 2019

With the winds howling, The Witcher 3 Switch Edition launches today, officially bringing the award winning RPG to the portable device.

Nicknamed ‘The Switcher 3’, CD Projekt Red have limited as much downgrading as possible to bring what they say is a true Witcher experience to the Nintendo Switch. We first saw it demonstrated during the E3 2019 Nintendo E3 Direct, and have been following its progress some more coverage here.

The trailer shows a boy waking up, grabbing his Nintendo Switch and playing it from dawn to dusk as he travels on a plane to see his sister, who then steals his Switch. While it’s filled with action-packed gameplay, the battery life of the Switch seems somewhat exaggerated, especially considering his Switch wasn’t docked/charging overnight!

Featuring over 150 hours gameplay, the Complete Edition comes with the base game and every piece of additional content ever released. This includes two massive story expansions — Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine — and 16 free DLC. The release marks the first time gamers can play the title both at home or on the go.

The Complete Edition is available for purchase in both retail, as well as digitally on the Nintendo eShop. In addition to the box and game card, which houses all of the content, the retail edition comes with a set of physical goodies: stickers, map, and The Witcher Universe: Compendium booklet.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launched on the 19th of May 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. For more information, head to the official thewitcher.com website.
