The wait has been long, with the latest installment in the acclaimed Legend of Heroes series releasing in Japan in September 2017, but the wait for the Falcom developed game is almost over. By the time game releases on October 4th for PlayStation 4, the gap between Eastern and Western releases will officially hit 2 years.

Accompanying the release date announcement is a brand new trailer showcasing some of the characters you’ll meet in the 3D turn-based RPG. If you’re a super fan of the story driven franchise, there’s also a super special Thors Academy Edition of the game which comes with a hardcover art book, soundtrack CD, steelbook, 5 post codes and a Mishy pulshie, while for other early purchasers the Day One edition of the game comes with a 5-track soundtrack CD and a softcover art book.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III releases on October 4 for PlayStation 4, but check out the new Old Friends trailer for the game below while you wait.
