Upon loading up the PlayStation 4 Pro this morning, we were greeted with a The Last of Us Remastered patch. Curious, we went straight to Naughty Dog to see what’s up.
Naughty Dog’s official Twitter account showed a brand new tweet which confirmed the fact. The new The Last of Us Remastered patch includes a few multiplayer issues, as well as user options and modified PlayStation 4 Pro enhancement settings.

The new patch gives PS4 Pro owners the options of changing resolution, frame-rate and shadow quality. Preferably you’ll be playing The Last of Us Remastered on a 4K TV with your PS4 Pro, but just in case you haven’t made the jump to a 4K display, the game will supersample its textures meaning you’ll be getting a better-than-1080p picture if you’re using the PS4 Pro.
Rocket Chainsaw reviewed the original version of The Last of Us, giving it 4.5 out of 5 stars and saying, “Naughty Dog has produced yet another gaming masterpiece, but this time one that will be remembered above all for its narrative and characters.”
The Last of Us is a PlayStation exclusive which launched on June 14, 2013 at the end of the PlayStation 3’s lifecycle. The game was then given its remastered edition the following year on July 29, 2014 for PlayStation 4.
