If you’ve played a Borderlands game in the past, you might already be familiar with Golden Keys. Golden Keys are special rewards generally found via Borderlands social media profiles (or Ozbargain if you’re like me) that can unlock a Golden Chest. Golden Chests provide you with randomised, but super powerful, loot that is level appropriate and often gives you an advantage over your current challenges. Basically, they can be a godsend for moments where you’re stuck in the game. Now, with the upcoming Borderlands 3: Director’s Cut DLC Add-On, Gearbox are introducing Diamond Keys and the Diamond Armory.

Think of Diamond Keys as an evolution of Golden Keys. Instead of giving you access to a single chest, in Borderlands 3: Director’s Cut, Diamond Keys will give you access to the Diamond Armory – an entire room filled with powerful loot. To receive Diamond Keys, you’ll need to complete Vault Card challenges. Vault Cards are another new introduction coming in the Director’s Cut. There will be three Vault Cards at launch, with them providing daily and weekly challenges to complete. You won’t just get Diamond Keys from them though, there will also be plenty of unique legendary gear and new cosmetic items.

Borderlands 3: Director’s Cut, Diamond Keys, Vault Card Challenges and more will be available when the Add-On launches on April 8th on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. For more information, check the official website.
