Tekken 7 to be showcased at next week’s Battle Arena Melbourne 9

May 2, 2017

Battle Arena Melbourne (BAM) 9 is coming to town next weekend, from 12-14 May, at the Melbourne Exhibition Center, and not only will attendees be able to see some of the biggest tournaments in this hemisphere, but they’ll also be able to get their hands on Tekken 7 a month ahead of release.

Tekken 7 will be featured at the event with 46 setups, on both PS4 and PC, across the three days of the event. Free entry will be offered for ‘casual’ players of Tekken 7  who want to try out the game, as well as entrants to the ‘Newcomers’ competition on the Friday evening.

In addition, Bandai Namco Entertainment is providing an extra $2000 in price money for the main Tekken 7 tournament, as well as free Tekken 7 t-shirts to all entrants, and prizes to be given away over the weekend.

Daniel Chlebowczyk of the CouchWarriors Organising Committee, was very positive about the partnership between Bandai Namco and Couchwarriors, saying “As part of a huge community effort that will make BAM9 one of the biggest E-sports events of the year, for the whole fighting game scene it is fantastic to see the mighty TEKKEN return in such strong fashion.”
