Shigeru Miyamoto has taken to the stage during Apple’s iOS press conference to announce Super Mario Run a brand new mobile game from Nintendo.

Super Mario Run will work similarly to the Rayman run games on mobiles, with Mario continuously running right and players controlling his jumps. There are different modes, with one involving collecting coins and another where you compete against other players with acrobatic moves.

Super Mario Run is a paid game, but will have a lite version available for people to try before they buy. It is coming to iOS in December 2016 and Android later.
