Start Playing TESO: Morrowind Two Weeks Early With Early Access

May 11, 2017

Bethesda and Zenimax have today revealed that there will be a special early access period for The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind, beginning on May 22, 2017, a whole two weeks before the game’s scheduled worldwide launch. The early access period will not be for console owners, and in fact will only be for players whom have pre-ordered the digital editions of the new expansion.

Bethesda has said this grace period will serve as a final test for the expansion’s mechanics, making sure everything is finely tuned and ready to go on June 6. Different to a beta however, the progress that early access players make from May 22 to June 6 will be kept.

For those whom have pre-ordered a physical copy, you can apply to have your account upgraded early using this official support page, and as long as you’re able to meet all the requirements including proof of purchase, you can join the digital pre-orders in the early access period.

Rocket Chainsaw went hands on with The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind for its closed beta back in April, and stated “it really is an absolutely massive update to an MMORPG that continues to grow in popularity, and definitely worth getting if you’re an Elder Scrolls fan.”

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind launches June 6 on Windows PC, Mac, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms.
