Square Enix Trademarks ‘T.R.U.E. Tomb Raider Ultimate Experience’

July 10, 2020

Trademarks and ratings tend to be a great source of leaks in recent times, with plenty of game announcements appearing earlier than intended through a ratings board or trademark listing. We’ve seen both small and large games leak out this way, while we’ve also seen trademark leaks result in a whole lot of nothing. Square Enix is the latest company to fall prey to a trademark getting out early, with T.R.U.E. Tomb Raider Ultimate Experience being trademarked (We found this link via a forum post on Resetera).

What is T.R.U.E. Tomb Raider Ultimate Experience? We honestly don’t know, but there are a few likely options. One could be a remake of the original Tomb Raider, maybe using the same technology as the reboot trilogy. Another is a collection of past Tomb Raider games, bringing them for sale on platforms. The other, and probably most likely option, is that it relates to a collection of the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy consisting of Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Hopefully we should have news soon on what exactly T.R.U.E. Tomb Raider Ultimate Experience is, with Square Enix recently saying that games previously scheduled to be revealed at E3 2020 would begin to be announced in the near future. Stay tuned to Rocket Chainsaw as more information becomes available.
