Following the success of the Sonic Boom cartoon, SEGA has announced a sequel to 2014’s Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal, Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice.

Developed by Sanzaru Games, Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice will incorporate fire and ice elements throughout the game to help propel the action. It will also include a new Bot Racing mode. Bot Racing will be a new multiplayer mode focused on going fast and racing your friends. Players will be able to unlock character themed Bots to race by playing Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice.

Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice will be available exclusively for Nintendo 3DS during the holiday season later this year.
