Smite officially launches on PS4 this month

May 30, 2016

Double Jump, on behalf of Hi-Rez Studios, has announced via a press release that Smite will be officially launching on PS4 on May 31.

Smite has been in an extended beta on PS4 since March this year. Initially, players were only able to access the game’s Arena, Joust and Conquest modes along with only a handful of playable Gods. Regular patches have since been released, slowly bringing the PS4 version in line with the Xbox One version.

Some features that have been added in recent weeks include optimising the game to run at 60 FPS, adding Trophy support, and adding the 5v5 Clash and Siege modes. There are currently 75 playable Gods, with more on the way. Over the coming weeks, the PS4 and Xbox One versions will feature the Viking Invasion event, which adds new viking-themed skins for existing Gods.
