Originally announced in the May episode of Inside Xbox for the Xbox Series X, Scarlet Nexus is the next big action RPG from the developers of God Eater over at Bandai Namco. Taking place in a futuristic ‘Brain Punk’ world where mysterious monsters have attacked the world, it’s up to a team of unique characters with psychokinetic powers to fight off this threat. After a couple of different trailers so far, Bandai revealed the game’s second protagonist and some further characters at Tokyo Game Show 2020.

Joining Yuito in the protagonist list is Kasane Randall, with the game shifting between the two protagonists at different points in the game. Along with Kasane, three new characters were revealed at the same time, Tsugumi Nazar, Gemma Garrison and Luka Travers. All are members of the Others Suppresion Force, the specialist force of Scarlet Nexus that are trained to wipe out the murderous Others that are terrorising the world. It was also revealed that within the fiction of the game that the OSF’s superpower gradually weaken as the brain ages, hence many of the game’s characters being relatively young.
