Racing mode and car customisation options added to Mafia III

December 22, 2016

2K Games and Hanger 13 have announced via a press release that Mafia III has received a free title update that adds a racing mode and car customisation options. The update was released last night for PC, Xbox One and PS4.

According to 2K, car customisation has been a “big request” and now players have the option to customise their wheels by visiting any of the nine Big Rick’s Garage locations in New Bordeaux. You can select various decals, exhausts, spoilers, superchargers and wheels, with there being a total of 50 unique customisations you can apply to your fleet.

Races are available after the first sit-down with all three lieutenants, and can be located by finding the race markers on the overworld map. There are six circuit lap races and six point-to-point races. By completing races you will unlock new customisation options as well as a 10th car to add to your fleet.

Three new outfits for Lincoln have also been added.
