Quake Champions Early Access Begins Next Week

August 18, 2017

Bethesda Softworks has today announced Quake Champions early access will begin on August 22 at an introductory price of $29.99USD. This marks Quake Champions‘ completion of its beta, as Bethesda prepares for a full launch later this year.

The $29.99USD price tag gives you a Champions Pack which includes all characters in the game (including ones released at a later date), an early-access exclusive Ranger skin, and some loot chests. In case you were wondering, there are 11 champions currently playable in the game, with a further 6 planned to be released before the end of 2018.

The 11th champion added to Quake Champions Early Access is called Doom Slayer, a cross-over character from the DOOM franchise. This character will have DOOM-esque powers including Berserk and Double-Jump.

Rocket Chainsaw previewed the Quake Champions closed beta in May 2017, saying “the gun-play is fantastic and the maps are interesting to explore and fight in.

If you’re waiting for the full release of Quake Champions, then the Champions Pack will cost $39.99USD, while the free-to-play version of the game will release at a later date.
