Puyo Puyo Tetris dated for Australia

February 10, 2017

Sega and Deep Silver have announced via a press release that Puyo Puyo Tetris will be coming to Australia on April 28 on the Nintendo Switch and PS4. For future Switch owners, this is the same day Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be released.

The game will be available as both physical media and digitally. The Switch version will retail for AU$59.95, while the PS4 version will be slightly cheaper at AU$49.95. Australia unfortunately will not be getting the bonus keyrings that America will receive.

Puyo Puyo Tetris is set to feature several gameplay modes including Adventure and Arcade which are aimed at solo players. For the multiplayer goers, there will be a standard Versus mode, Swap where players have to compete on both Tetris and Puyo Puyo boards which switch back and forth at set intervals, and Fusion which combines Tetris and Puyo Puyo on the same board. There’s also Big Bang mode where players compete to clear unique challenges as quickly as possible, and Party which adds special items to the Puyo and Tetris boards that either help players or harm opponents.
