PS Vita launches in Australia.

February 23, 2012

Sony’s new handheld console, the PS Vita, has finally been released in Australia, and can now be found in stores nation-wide. Assuming of course, you’re heading into a JB, EB Games or Dick Smith, and not anywhere else.

The PS Vita boasts a 5″ OLED screen, a quad core processor and dual analogue sticks to provide a more console-like experience on the go. It currently comes in two varieties – a WiFi only version for $348 and a 3G/WiFi version for $418.  The launch line up both in retail stores and online includes titles such as:

  • Army Corps of Hell
  • Asphalt Injection
  • Blazblue Continuum Shift Extend
  • Dungeon Hunter: Alliance
  • Dynasty Warriors Next
  • FIFA Football
  • Escape Plan
  • F1 2011
  • Hustle Kings
  • Little Deviants
  • Lumines: Electronic Symphony
  • Michael Jackson: The Experience HD
  • ModNation Racers: Road Trip
  • MotorStorm RC
  • Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus
  • Plants vs. Zombies
  • Rayman Origins
  • Reality Fighters
  • Ridge Racer
  • Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen
  • Super Stardust Delta
  • Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack
  • Top Darts
  • Touch My Katamari
  • Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
  • Uncharted: Golden Abyss
  • Virtua Tennis 4: World Tour Edition
  • Wipeout 2048

That’s a long list for a launch line-up, and we’ll be taking a look at some of these games, and the system itself, very soon. If you’ve got a Vita and have tried out some of the games, why not let us know what you think in the comments or forum?
