Nippon Ichi Software (NIS) has been known for re-releasing their older games on newer platforms for a long time now. Games like Disgaea and Phantom Brave have been released on a myriad of platforms since their original releases, giving newer gamers the opportunity to jump on for the first time. Now, as part of the New Game+ Expo, NIS have announces a new ongoing lineup called Prinny Presents NIS Classics for PC and Nintendo Switch.
The first of these will be Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 1, which brings Phantom Brave: The Hermuda Triangle Remastered and Soul Nomad & The World Eaters to Nintendo Switch for the first time. On the PC front, only Soul Eaters is a brand new release, with Phantom Brave having been available on the platform for some time.
At present we don’t have a release date for the collection, although it has been flagged as a Winter 2021 release (Summer in the USA), so we expect to hear more in the near future.
